Who will prevail in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia?
Inter Milan and Lazio Roma contest the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia. For both teams, of course, only the title counts in the cup. As the reigning Italian champions, the hosts are naturally the slight favorites to reach the semi-finals. The two clubs are also separated by 8 points in Serie A. Inter Milan have a small results crisis
The reigning champions have certainly been the best and most consistent team in Italy in recent years. They have a good chance of winning the title again this year, as they are only 2 points behind league leaders SSC Napoli in the table. However, the last few weeks have not necessarily gone as planned. Instead of taking the lead in the table due to catch-up games, they have only won one of their last four matches. The team even suffered 2 away defeats in a row recently against AC Florence and Juventus Turin. They failed to score in both games. In the derby against AC Milan, they had to settle for a 1-1 draw. However, coach Simone Inzaghi's team did manage to win their last home game in Serie A with a 2:1 victory against AC Florence. It was their 16th win of the season. Although they have struggled to score goals in recent games, they still have the best offense in Italy with 58 goals. They are also a real force at the San Siro, having won 8 of 12 home games and only lost to AC Milan.

Inter want to keep their title chances alive
Inter Milan are still represented in three competitions and have a realistic chance of winning the title in all of them. In the Champions League, they achieved an outstanding 4th place in the group stage and are therefore free to play in the play-offs. In the round of 16, they will face PSV Eindhoven or Feyenoord Rotterdam. They are currently in the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia and could face Atalanta, Milan or the winner of Juventus v Empoli in the semi-finals.

Lazio plays big in the cup competitions
