Real Madrid aim to reach the final
The Whites are once again having an outstanding season and have a good chance of winning La Liga, the Champions League and the Copa del Rey. They made it through to the quarter-finals in the top flight and are slight favorites against Arsenal. In the league, they are currently in second place, level on points with league leaders Barcelona. However, they still have one more game in hand. They are in the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey and narrowly won the first leg against Real Sociedad 1:0. Now they also have the chance to play at home in the second leg and are therefore the clear favorites. Especially as their form is certainly impressive. Real have won all of their last four competitive games, including both matches in the last 16 of the Champions League against Atletico Madrid. In the second leg, however, they only prevailed on penalties. Before the international break, they secured a 1:2 away win against FC Villarreal. It was their 2nd win in a row in La Liga.
