Newcastle wants to shoot itself out of the crisis
The last two years have been very successful for Newcastle United with 4th and 7th place finishes. This year, they want to confirm these placings and make the leap back onto the international stage. The start to the season was also very successful with 10 points from the first 4 games, but after the 1:2 away win against Wolverhampton, not too many things fell into place. This was followed by defeats against Fulham, Brighton and Chelsea and 2 draws against Everton and Manchester City. They have now been without a win for 5 games and now the next top team awaits with Arsenal FC. One of the biggest problems this year is the offense. Although they have a lot of quality there with Anthony Gordon, Alexander Isak and Harvey Barnes, the team has only scored 9 goals in 9 games. This makes them the weakest attacking team in the Premier League behind Southampton, Crystal Palace and Manchester United. They have also only scored 4 goals in their last 4 games. With just 3 goals, Harvey Barnes is already the top scorer in the squad. The absences of Anthony Gordon and Callum Wilson seem to be noticeable and must also be compensated for against Arsenal.

The defense is currently preventing worse
