Liverpool is getting more and more counted out
The reigning champions have once again made a very strong start to the season this year and have won all of their first seven competitive matches. In the Premier League, they had a maximum of 15 points after 5 matchdays and were top of the table. However, this was followed by their 2nd defeat against Crystal Palace this season. They had already lost narrowly on penalties in the Community Shield. This time they were beaten 2:1 in London. It was the start of a losing streak, as they also suffered defeats in the Champions League against Galatasaray and then in the Premier League against Chelsea and Manchester United. There was a small glimmer of hope last week when they won 5-1 at Eintracht Frankfurt. However, this hope was short-lived, as they lost again in the Premier League a few days ago, going down 3:2 to Brentford FC. They are now only 7th in the table, 7 points adrift of league leaders Arsenal and are the worst defensive team in the top half of the table, conceding 14 goals. In the EFL Cup, they will now try again to shoot themselves out of the crisis.

Liverpool are experts in the EFL Cup

Will Palace remain the Reds' opponents to fear?
It's amazing that Crystal Palace have won both games against Liverpool FC this season. In the Community Shield, they even secured victory in a final and thus the title.
