Chelsea and Brighton aim to finish in the top 4 with a win. AI Prediction, 28.09.24

The Seagulls remain unbeaten against the in-form Blues

Published on 25.09.2024 11:27.

Chelsea FC quickly recovered from their opening defeat against Manchester City to remain unbeaten in their last four Premier League games. Enzo Maresca's team picked up 3 wins and a draw and have now climbed to 5th place in the table. A win would theoretically even give them the opportunity to take the lead in the table, but a jump into the top 4 is more realistic. Brighton, on the other hand, are in 7th place with the youngest coach in the Premier League and are still unbeaten. However, the Seagulls have only managed a draw in their last three games, including against newly promoted Ipswich Town.

Chelsea will be looking to continue their run of 3 wins in a row, while Brighton will be looking to remain unbeaten for the 6th game in a row. At the same time, Chelsea have yet to win a home game in the league, while Brighton have drawn their last 3 in a row.

The AI forecast rates Chelsea higher due to quality

The artificial intelligence rates Chelsea FC higher due to their quality. The individual class in the offense is simply enormous and with 11 goals so far, it is also convincing. They have also scored these 11 goals in the last 4 games. The stable defense speaks for Brighton, because with only 4 goals conceded they are among the strongest here. Brighton is also still unbeaten, which is why a close game with rather few goals is expected.

Chelsea seem to be slowly but surely becoming a unit again

After almost 2 years, it seems as if Chelsea FC have finalized their squad. More than 20 new players have joined in the last two transfer periods. Coach Enzo Maresca has managed to integrate the new players into the playing system quite quickly so far this season. Although they lost their opening game against Manchester City, they then went 4 league games unbeaten in a row. They have now climbed to 5th place in the table, winning 3 of their last 4 games. Only against Crystal Palace did they have to settle for a draw. In the 3 victories, however, they scored a strong 10 goals and recently even went 2 games in a row without conceding a goal. With only 3 points behind league leaders City and a goal difference of 11:5 goals, Chelsea could theoretically even take over the lead in the table. But to do so, Chelsea must first secure their first home win.

Chelsea are still represented in all cup competitions

The Blues successfully qualified for the Conference League last season. This year, they beat Swiss club FC Servette in the first qualifying round. They owed this primarily to their 2-0 home win, as they then suffered a 2-1 defeat away from home. They did an even better job in the 3rd round of the EFL Cup. They beat Barrow 5-0 during the week. Christoper Nkunku was in a particularly good scoring mood with a hat-trick.

Brighton and Fabian Hürzeler are still unbeaten

After two very successful years under Roberto de Zerbi, Brighton nevertheless decided to make a change in the summer. With Fabian Hürzeler, they hired the youngest Premier League coach, with whom they now want to get even closer to the top teams. They have already done this quite well at the start of the season, sitting in 7th place in the table, ahead of Tottenham and ManU. The team even won their first two games of the season, including a 2:1 victory against Manchester United. Recently, the euphoria waned somewhat after 3 draws in a row. Although they drew 1-1 away at Arsenal FC, the two home games against Ipswich Town and Nottingham Forest were rather disappointing.

Strong performances in the EFL Cup

Not only did the team remain unbeaten in their five Premier League games, they also made it through two rounds of the EFL Cup. In the 2nd round, they celebrated an unchallenged 1:0 victory against Crawley Town. In the 3rd round, they were drawn with Wolverhampton Wanderers, a Premier League team. In the home game, however, they were again able to win narrowly 3:2. The goals were scored by Baleba, Adingra and new signing Kadioglu.

Brighton can be expected to pick up a point - Our prediction

The Seagulls have already played one or two top games this year, but have always remained unbeaten. Chelsea are currently in good form and have won 2 games in a row, but Brighton could be a tough opponent. We trust the visitors to get a point and would recommend a risk bet on a draw. Chelsea will score a goal against Brighton, conversely we think the visitors will do the same. The tip "Both teams score YES" should therefore also be a good bet.
