Arsenal need a win in the derby
The Gunners are certainly not having an outstanding season, having won just 11 of their 20 Premier League games. Due to the weakness of the other teams, they are still in a good 2nd place in the table. However, the gap to Liverpool could grow to a full 12 points in the event of a defeat, should they also win their catch-up game! Arsenal can therefore not really afford to lose and absolutely need a win. This is also working very well at home this season, as they are still unbeaten after 9 home games. They have won 6 of these 9 home games. First and foremost, their defense has been outstanding, conceding the fewest goals of any team with just 6. The Gunners are getting bigger and bigger injury worries
Arsenal have come through this season very well so far, but more and more players have found themselves on the injured list in recent weeks. In attack, they are now without Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Jesus and Ethan Nwaneri. All will be out for several weeks. Ben White, Riccardo Calafiori and Takehiro Tomiyasu are also missing from the defense, which is particularly detrimental to the width of the squad.

Tottenham wants to get back to winning ways in the league
Spurs have fallen far short of their own expectations this season and are only 12th in the league. They are currently closer to the relegation places than the international starting places. This is partly due to the last few weeks. They have failed to win their last 4 games, picking up just a single point in the process. During this period, they also suffered a 3:6 defeat against Liverpool FC. Their only win in the last 8 games came away at Southampton FC (0:5). This was also only Tottenham's 3rd away win of the season. They have lost 5 of their last 9 away games and are only 11th in the away table, although their goal difference of 16:9 is certainly a positive. Most recently, there were two defeats in top games against Liverpool and Chelsea. Before that, however, they were able to impress against bigger teams and celebrated victories against Manchester United and Manchester City. The first clash against Arsenal was also evenly poised for a long time. In the end, however, they were narrowly beaten 1:0.

Spurs want to finally win against Arsenal again
